From request to launch
Most engagements follow the same four stages, whatever the channel.
- Request and scoping: you send the form, the service partner asks follow-up questions and you agree a written scope and quote.
- Access and audit: you add the partner as a user on your ad, analytics and tag accounts, and they check what is already set up.
- Build: campaigns, landing pages, forms and conversion tracking are prepared, and you approve copy and pages before anything goes live.
- Launch: tracking is tested with real form fills, campaigns are switched on and the first report date is set.
Your side of the scoping
The partner can only scope what they can see. These items help.
- View access to existing ad accounts, if you want them looked at before the quote
- Your GA4 property and Google Tag Manager container details
- A list of forms on your site and where each one sends its submissions
- Any call tracking or chat tools in use
- Customer segments or job titles you want to reach on social platforms
- Products, services or areas you do not want to advertise
- Any industry rules on ad wording that apply to you
Your accounts, their access
You own the accounts, and the partner is given access to them. Ad accounts, pixels, tag containers, analytics properties and the data in them are registered to your business. The partner is added as a user through each platform's role settings, with admin rights only where setup needs them. When the work ends, you remove the partner's access and keep everything they built. If anyone asks you to open an account in their name, or to share a password, ask why before agreeing.
The first few weeks after go-live
Early spend tells you more about the setup than about the market. In the first weeks, the partner watches for search terms that do not fit, audiences that spend without converting, forms that fail on some devices and conversions that record twice. Expect a few rounds of adjustment. Ad platforms also need some data before their automated bidding settles, so snap judgments in this period are usually premature. After that, management moves to the regular cadence in your agreement, with reports and check-ins on a set schedule.
Send your request with a work email and a few notes about the campaigns you have in mind.
